Indie Volt’s Book of the Week

This week we take a look at Bloodwing Angel Chronicles created by John Celestri.

If you like Speculative Fiction and Supernatural Heroes this might be a book for you. Bloodwing Angel Chronicles is about an angel that is transformed into female and male form, Mychal is unjustly banished to the mortal realm & struggles to survive among Demons & Sinners!

Ever feel like the Gods are playing with you? Like you’re a pawn in a cosmic game? Well, that’s what happens to Mychal the Bloodwing Angel!
Transformed into both female and male form, Mychal is unjustly banished to the mortal realm and struggles to survive amongst demons and living dead! Along the way, Michael becomes the guardian angel to a neighborhood filled with killers and sinners.

John Celestri stated, ” I originally created Bloodwing as a novella during a very dark time in my life. I liken my situation to Job’s of the Old Testament Book: I felt I was being toyed with and used as a pawn in a cosmic chess game over which I had no say. I poured those feelings into my protagonist Mychal the Bloodwing Angel.
A few years later, I adapted the novella as a web comic, but found that Mychal’s adventures were too “not safe for work” enough for the tastes of web comic readers. It seems Mychal pressed too many emotional buttons”.

Bloodwing Angel Chronicles is a full color mature action/adventure comic. Set in an alternative universe, this series will appeal to you if you like the following:

Heavy Metal Magazine
Speculative Fiction
Supernatural Heroes
Mature Stories
Dystopian Fiction
Classic 2D Animation

You can find this book currently funding on Kickstarter. It has made $617 out of its goal of $1,000 and has 22 days left to go. So, if this sounds interesting to you, go over to Kickstarter and back it now.

With present day crowdfunding, I hope to find more readers like you…readers who are seeking comics that aren’t just about superheroes. I’m working on Episodes 3 & 4 right now and I’ll be releasing additional episodes two at a time every eight or nine months. The following is a rough penciled scene from Episode 3.
I promise this ongoing comic series is like nothing you’ve read before!
