Takia or Taco as she’s affectionately called by Indie Volt staff is a lover of poetry and pop culture. This Hinesville, Georgia born vegan is an aspiring musician who enjoys writing and learning about new indie music and the experiences of indie creators.
A self admitted “Jill of all trades”, when not reviewing comics for Indie Volt, Kay a trained gymnast, yoga instructor and certified holistic healing practitioner can be found spending time with her two sons, both of whom are voracious readers.
R.R. Johnson brings a distinct perspective to Indie Volt. An avid reader, the former newspaper editor has explored a variety of interests – from authoring a book of short stories to producing music. When not writing reviews, R.R can be found sharing his insights on various topics on the webcast I’m Just Sayin.
Teena was promoted in May of 2023 to head senior writer for INDIEVOLT.COM, probably because she’s one of the few staffers who knows “GOODER” isn’t an actual word.
Having lost a regretabable “drunken” wager Teena was left with two equally terrifying possibilties; fostering a relationship as an on-demand side chick or writing content for Indie Volt. Possessing an extensive and slightly concerning carnal knowledge of several indie musicians it was super easy to ply her skillset to the demands and tasks of Indie Volt. When not writing, Teena enjoys watching documentaries on plagues and illnesses hoping that one glorious bacteria will wipe our hateful species off the planet and release her from the mundane toil of “existance”. She has a hamster named Kanye.
