Back in March of 2019, Murphy revealed that he was a fan of TenNapel’s in a tweet, and even as recently as Feb 26, 2020 tweeted that his followers should check out the Big Foot Bill comic on the crowdfunding platform IndieGoGo.

Now the artist has announced that after a conversation with TenNapel he will no longer be a part of the project. Murphy cites past “anti LGBTQ” comments made by TenNapel (though he doesn’t mention TenNapel directly in his tweets) as his reason for pulling his cover.

“I’m sorry if I hurt or upset anyone-I’ve always wanted my work to be about inclusion and about people working together.” Murphy says in the tweet.
“But I can’t be connected to opinions that hurt the LGBTQ community that’s meant so much to my life and my upbringing.”

IndieVolt’s Varian Grant and Randy Zimm took a look at TenNapel’s last offering Earth Worm Jim in an unboxing you can find here.
