Lashawn Colvin Passes away at 37

The Indie Comics world was sent reeling today, with news of the tragic passing of Beautiful Soliders creator and comic shop owner Lashawn Colvin.
Born in Texas Lashawn made a life in Montgomery, Alabama where she opened Comics & Geeks a Beverage Lounge and comic book store in 2020.

Colvin spent time as the Editor over at RedBand line-up at Short Fuse Media Group, LLC, before signing a publishing deal with Scout Comics.

The cause of death is not known at this time.

A Committal Celebration of Life internment for Lashawn will be held Friday, October 7, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Alabama Heritage Cemetery via Private Estates, 10505 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, AL 36117.
