SO WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
I am from Cape Town, South Africa. I have been there all my life.

HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH THE NAME REINHARDT BUHR AND ARE THERE ANY OTHER MEMBERS?
My birth name is Reinhardt Buhr, so I decided to use that as my band name. When it comes to band members, it is just me and my wife.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THE TYPE OF MUSIC YOU PLAY AND WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST INSPIRATION FOR YOUR MUSIC?
I would say that my music is World fusion mixed with improvisational live looping music. As far as my inspirations, I am a follower of Jesus Christ and He is my only inspiration. All my songs are a way of worshiping and glorifying Jesus Christ our God.

WHAT IS A TYPICAL DAY LIKE FOR YOU? DO YOU HAVE A PROCESS OR SCHEDULE THAT YOU FOLLOW?
I wake up, pray and commune with God, Then I work on new music, research, find ways to improve my live set, record videos, answer emails and comments. I improvise so everything happens in the moment when I create, but the planning and preparations takes years.

WHAT STRUGGLES AND CHALLENGES (IF ANY) HAVE YOU FACED?
Addiction of drugs and alcohol abuse was my biggest struggle through my life, but thanks to God He rescued me from it.

WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD FOR REINHARDT BUHR?
Well, my recent Europe tour was cancelled because of Covid 19 but next year God willing we will do the Europe tour. Also, I am currently making a new album, hopefully will be done in about a month.

ARE THERE ANY FUN FACTS THAT YOU WANT TO SHARE WITH US?
Well, the funniest thing I can think of is that my adopted dog’s name is dude and he cries when I play cello.
